Christmas in the air...

Here are a few Christmas projects i've been working on. No wonder I'm not getting any scrapbooking done. I just made the board a few days ago, I have had the stockings done previously!
This is for our Relief Society Enrichement Party and the 'homemade' gift exchange we are doing with it.

My mom and I made this over Thanksgiving break! I love it and the kids love the lights!

Hair bows

I went to a few craft fairs over the last week and bows were everywhere. I've been wanting to make some for Jenna, but since we don't have too much hair still, we have to do smaller bows. I got lots of great ideas for bows. I came home right after one of the fairs and made some up right then. I think they turned out cute!!

Peep Jar Instructions

Ingredients in the Jar:
--Reduce 1 sleeve graham crackers (approx 1 1/3 c.)to crumbs and layer 2/3 of the crumbs in a 1 qt. jar.
--Place 8 marshmallow bunny peeps "or whatever peeps are good for the season"standing up, facing out around the inside of the jar pressing them against the glass, but don’t squash them.
--Carefully, spoon remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep it snug.
--On top of this pour 1 ½ c. Easter M&M’s "or the current holiday"
--Decorate the lid of the jar however you please…tie curly ribbons around the neck of the jar.

Directions: (this is what you give with the jar) Empty the jar contents into a bowl and add 1/3 C brown sugar. Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen sheers or cut up with a knife. Return the bunny bits to the mixture and mix well. Melt ½ c. butter, add 1 t. vanilla. Pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well. Pat into a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
*Option: leave the bunnies whole; combine remaining ingredients and place the bunnies on top; then bake as directed

More pages..i'm on a roll!!

It has been so much fun to get these pictures on paper. I don't do super fancy ones, but I think they are cute and my kids already love looking at them. I don't have time to go ALL out on my pages, but they are in a book and off my endless CDs of pictures. I have no hope in catching up, but at least I can try to stay on top of it :).

The first set of pages is from Anthony's first hair cut. I can't believe how much hair he had. I'm glad I kept it all of these years. I can't figure out what the best way to take pictures of my pages is, so bear with me until I find the right way to take them.

This one is probably my favorite of the bunch. I got the inspiration from ... Sketches! by Tamara. She has lots of great things on her blog!

Recent pages

Here are my latest scrapbook pages. I LOVE Close to my Heart! They make it so easy to sit down and put a bunch of pages together. I don't think they are anything too fancy, but enough to get the job done and say they look cute! I hope my kids will love them someday!

I'm back...I hope!!

Okay, my creative genes took a vacation and got put on the back burner when canning season took over. A couple of weeks ago I went to my mom's so Jake could study for a HUGE test. We made this cute little witch for my trick-or-treating basket! I LOVE IT!!!
These are the stockings that I've made for each of my little family and a few others. Thanks Janelle for the 'pattern'. The first one is for Jenna and the second one is for my new little nephew Stanley. I think they turned out rather cute!

These are a few treats I took out to my visiting teaching ladies. I saw the idea during Easter and filed it away in my brain. I was lucky enough to remember it again at Halloween time! I think they turned out cute. You give them instructions to add brown sugar, butter and vanilla and cook them. They turn out like smore bars! YUMMY~!
