I am LOVING pinterest! It is so fun to be able to remember where I put the ideas I am inspired by all over the blogosphere. It has helped me actually do quite a few more crafts this year! I made the cute little candy corn trees in the pictures and the little candies in the basket! Love them both so much!!

Celebrate the Occasion #18...
Hi everyone!
I hope you are Celebrating the Occasion with us this week and if you aren't you SHOULD be! The CTO challenge #18 is up and it was a great one--4th of July *red, white and blue*!!
Come on over to the CTO blog and play with us!! I cannot wait to see what you create!
Who doesn't like the 4th of July? It means summer is finally here (at least where I live), we celebrate our awesome country, you get to see fireworks, and eat yummy food! My house seems to be pretty empty once all the Easter decorations come down so I figured it needed some fun 4th of July decorations!!
This is just a 2x6 board cut to 12". The striped paper is CTMH and the freedom words are cut from Opposites Attract cartridge and the stamped words are from CTMH stamp sets. The firecracker was bought from the dollar store quite awhile ago.
Thanks for Celebrating the Occasion with us!
I am also entering this into the following challenges...

My Pink Stamper challenges...
What a fun day to be a crafter! It's National Scrapbook Day and My Pink Stamper is celebrating in a big way! She is having lots of challenges with LOTS of giveaways if you play along. I'm jumping around as I can as I'm a hunting widow (name for it when husband is gone hunting :)) today and playing with the kids usually comes before the crafting for the day. I got some done at nap time and will finish up when I put the kids down for the night.
Anyway, challenge #5 is to create a 3-D item. I have been wanting to make some of these flowers for my girls hair so decided what better time than now?
Challenge #1 was anything CUPCAKE! I love cupcakes...this one looks yummy too!!
Challenge #3 is to create something with a breast cancer theme. This theme is something I do not have a lot of experiences with (thank goodness) but I love this note from gypsy wanderings and just got Scrappy Moms Stamps stamps and loved the Just a Note sentiment. I liked how it turned out.
There you have it, my first 3 challenges over at My Pink Stamper. Head on over and have fun with us!!

The force is strong...
I had to take a break from paper crafting to do some sewing...
The force is strong at our house lately. My oldest is really into Star Wars and so I thought I'd make him some Star Wars cloaks. I had to make sure I made one for his friend that also loves Star Wars when he comes to the house and plays, so we have 2 of each color. Apparently, it is more fun being the bad guy because they have A LOT more interest in the black ones than the brown ones.

Another project and a layout....
I saw this Rainbow Wreath and knew I needed one for my house!
It went together so quick and easy and I LOVE it!!
I did this layout with the Simply Charmed strawberry cut at 2" and 3" and just loved how it turned out. Strawberries are one of my very favorite things so I just loved these pictures anyway...and to finally get them onto a scrapbook page really made me happy! They were from 2008...

Projects...
My house was seriously lacking some St. Patrick's Day green, so I decided to throw something together. The LUCKY was cut from Printing Press on my gypsy at 1 inch.
I have so many friends having babies in the near future (or already did) that I needed a cute gift for them. My friend was saying how much she loves diapers for burp clothes so I thought, why not make them CUTE! I loved how they turned out. Each shape was cut at 5" using Create a Critter, Boys will be Boys or Plantin Schoolbook!
Enjoy your weekend!!

Red, White and Black...
I wanted to give my friends something for Valentines Day so that they know they are special to me. Why limit it to just my kids friends? These bags are filled with "grown-up" candy that they will hopefully enjoy! I got to use a new cut from Simply Charmed and a new face from My Peachy Keen stamps!
So many many fun challenges to take part in. I am putting this in these challenges:

Happy~simply charmed...
Scrappy Moms Stamp is having a challenge to use the Simply Charmed cartridge. This is one of my favorite cartridge so I just had to play along. I've been wanting a journal/notebook so that I could keep all my random notes in the same spot, so decided why not make it today?

Heart Felt Wreath...
Horray, I finally did it! I have been wanting to make this wreath found at the
since last year when she posted it. I couldn't find a heart shape form so I just used a circle and added a few pink and white ones mixed in. I love how it turned out and it didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would!!

Decorations...
With moving, new job, a new baby and all that jazz, I haven't been quite as crafty as I want to be. But, I think my groove is slowly returning...now if I could just find MORE time.
Word board and a bow board! Both so easy, but add so much to my kids rooms!
I got the idea for these names at Sisters Stuff .
I love their blog!

Hooter hider...
I think these things are a great invention! I needed a nursing cover, but wasn't willing to pay the price for the ones I found online. So, I made one instead. I think it turned out quite cute!!

Hair bows
I went to a few craft fairs over the last week and bows were everywhere. I've been wanting to make some for Jenna, but since we don't have too much hair still, we have to do smaller bows. I got lots of great ideas for bows. I came home right after one of the fairs and made some up right then. I think they turned out cute!!

Peep Jar Instructions
Ingredients in the Jar:
--Reduce 1 sleeve graham crackers (approx 1 1/3 c.)to crumbs and layer 2/3 of the crumbs in a 1 qt. jar.
--Place 8 marshmallow bunny peeps "or whatever peeps are good for the season"standing up, facing out around the inside of the jar pressing them against the glass, but don’t squash them.
--Carefully, spoon remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep it snug.
--On top of this pour 1 ½ c. Easter M&M’s "or the current holiday"
--Decorate the lid of the jar however you please…tie curly ribbons around the neck of the jar.
Directions: (this is what you give with the jar) Empty the jar contents into a bowl and add 1/3 C brown sugar. Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen sheers or cut up with a knife. Return the bunny bits to the mixture and mix well. Melt ½ c. butter, add 1 t. vanilla. Pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well. Pat into a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
*Option: leave the bunnies whole; combine remaining ingredients and place the bunnies on top; then bake as directed

I'm back...I hope!!
Okay, my creative genes took a vacation and got put on the back burner when canning season took over. A couple of weeks ago I went to my mom's so Jake could study for a HUGE test. We made this cute little witch for my trick-or-treating basket! I LOVE IT!!!
These are the stockings that I've made for each of my little family and a few others. Thanks Janelle for the 'pattern'. The first one is for Jenna and the second one is for my new little nephew Stanley. I think they turned out rather cute!

These are a few treats I took out to my visiting teaching ladies. I saw the idea during Easter and filed it away in my brain. I was lucky enough to remember it again at Halloween time! I think they turned out cute. You give them instructions to add brown sugar, butter and vanilla and cook them. They turn out like smore bars! YUMMY~!

Spring craft...
I think I cursed myself by making this on Tuesday as we got snow (and a lot of it) last night. Oh well, hopefully spring will still come and until then, I can enjoy my springy sign :)!

Alphabet Fun!
Wow--it has been too long since I have gotten to sit and create more crafts. These letters are available in any variety of the alpahabet. They can be custom colored to match your decorations in various rooms or can be combined together to spell something out.
